In our effort to approach “Volos” from the other side we had the good fortune to “get lost” in a large area with Gorgonians and impressive single rocks.

In February 1999, after a damage to the rudder, the cargo ship “Vera” was stranded on Lefteris reef. After a while the ship broke in half and its two parts can be found at depths of 16-25 meters.

The 85-meter-long cargo ship “Volos” was built in 1902 and sank after hitting “Lefteris” reef in February 1931.

Paradeisos beach is located 20 kilometers from Volos. After turning right on the Volos – Neochori National Road heading for “Paradeisos” as soon as you see the sea turn left and park your car as close as possible to the end of the road.

There are diving sites that are easy to navigate and relatively easy to find. You can see the relief from the surface and you can easily guess the location and the morphology of the site. In this article we will not deal with one of them

Leave Volos heading towards Alykes beach. Continue towards Agios Stefanos settlement, park your car in the last bay and continue downwards.

We do not know if the ship owner and captain of the motor ship “Kali Tichi” (Good Luck) expected his ship to have such an end, but the divers who visit it certainly feel lucky.
