The first International Film Festival themed around the Sea, Our Ocean Film Festival, brings the world of cinema to the Megaron Athens Concert Hall from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th April 2024. The event is organized within the framework of the global Our Ocean Conference, hosted in Athens during the same days, and admission is free.

Our Ocean Film Festival aims to raise awareness among the public about the protection of the marine environment through the Art of Cinema. In addition to film screenings, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with the creators and directors of the presented works.

The rich program includes documentaries featuring outstanding Greek and international productions, highlighting the issues and proposing solutions for the protection of the seas and addressing climate change.

Key screenings include the documentary “DEEP RISING” narrated by Jason Momoa and “Brave Blue World” featuring Liam Neeson and Matt Damon. Additionally, documentaries such as “BLUE CARBON” by Nicolas Brown and “THE PRISTINE SEAS project” by Enric Sala will be showcased.

The Our Ocean Conference began in 2014 and has established itself as a global dialogue forum for the protection of the oceans. Greece, as the hosting country of the Our Ocean Conference 2024, aims to involve society in the dialogue for sustainable management and protection of the marine environment through cultural activities.
