The underwater car cemetery of Legrena is one of the most famous dives in Greece. For decades, any car that needed to disappear would “fall” into this specific spot.

Up to 100m of swimming

It has a shipwreck
Exiting from the main road, there is a passable dirt road that most conventional cars will handle. Leave your car as close to the water as possible and set up your equipment.
THE COAST
The beach is quite rocky, and several coastal fishermen frequent the area.
ENTRY TO THE SEA
Despite the rocks, entry into the sea is not particularly difficult. With careful steps, you’ll find yourself in the water.
THE DIVE
Follow a path to the right; the point where the cars are located is 450 meters away. We recommend swimming a considerable distance on the surface to ensure you have enough air for the dive to the cars. The first signs of the car cemetery are visible from the first meters, with various scattered car parts. After 20 meters, you encounter the first complete cars. Continue exploring the area, and you’ll discover several more until the depth of 35 meters. It’s easy to get carried away by exploration; if you’ve set a depth limit, it’s good to check your instruments frequently for confirmation.
Return following the reverse route, pay attention to safety stops.
Safe ascent!

SAFETY FIRST!
